Father's day
What Makes A Dad?
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
And when there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it - Dad.
I had given this poem to my husband a few years ago and it touched him so much that he gave it to his tattoo artist and had him create a tattoo...well it has yet to be completed so that is what my husband wanted for father's day this year...he just needs to add the finishing touches of gods hands around this beautiful scene the this artist created for hubby..I will post the finished tattoo when he gets it done.
We also gave daddy clay hand prints and I also had the kids draw any picture they wanted on an old t-shirt and an old sweater, I later crossed stitched them and I'll use the fabric stretcher thing as the picture frame.
Ricky's picture was daddy and him catching frogs out by the brook, and Caila's was flowers and a rainbow.
