My newest creation

Here is a dress I made for caila yesterday although I think I need to make one little alterations with the bodice it seems to be alittle short on her I'd like to add another layer so it's not so low on her chest...always trial and error. All and all I really do like this dress and how it turned out although it was quit an experimental dress ...you see I've never done a gathered stitch before and I've never done those kinds of pockets either but I really LOVE this kind of pocket and I love the bottom of the dress and how ruffly it is :-)

It all started with this fabric...
I just loved it so much that I bought only a yard of it but didn't know what I was going to do with it... but after thinking about it over night I went back to Jo Ann's and got 5 yards of each of the fabrics so I can make some curtains for my Volkswagen vanagon that we're putting on the road in the spring. And then after thinking about spring coming around the corner I decided to make Caila a spring dress although she could wear a long sleeve shirt under it...
