So I'm knitting along with Ginny again and having fun using these circular needles especially now that I've done a project with them, I'm much more confident. I do hope to eventually upgrade to the wooden interchangeable needles rather then the medal ones I have now, maybe that will be my birthday present to myself this month..shhh my secret..hehe. I just love the feel and looks of the wooden needles so much more.
So the pattern and project that I'm working on this week is a euro cowl. I am so excited for this to be done I'm in love with the earthy colors, I can't wait to wear it!!
Along with knitting I've been reading Large family logistics. this book really should be mandatory for all mama's. It has such wonderful tips for managing the home it's already done wonders for me and keeping me on track as I tend to be a bit flitty and forgetful. Although I was quit surprised at it's size...(it's not a book you can snuggle up in bed with and read while lying down..lol) but it really has been giving me great useful tips!! I also just bought this book called Writing down the days for my son as I would like him to be more comfortable journal writing, I'm hoping that starting a journal with some of these ideas will build his confidence in free writing. It not only give fun writing prompts but it also give lots of fun info too.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by Ginny's for some great knitting inspiration!!
Love that variation in your yarn, gorgeous! I've recently been using the magic loop method on circular instead of double pointed, love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in the cowl, it is going to be beautiful when it is done!! I love metal over wooden needles :) I hope you get your set soon!
ReplyDeleteOooooh, that yarn is lovely...I hope your cowl turns out well! I made some at Christmas time for my three little people, too.

ReplyDeleteI've worked through Large Family Logistics twice now and need to go back again. There is so much in there!
Will check out the journal book ... need to incorporate that into our day here. Good for kids and mom.
