Yarn Along

I was able to get some good quality knitting done this week, especially with this past weekends Superbowl Sunday I was able to knit up this baby cocoon that night .. (I'm not a big football fan although I did enjoy the half time show.

The pattern is from Tricia Drake's new book Welcoming home baby...It worked up very quickly on size 19 needles. I'm not sure if it's complete though....I'm thinking about adding a crocheted edge of another fluffy yarn around the head opening for an extra snuggle feature...lol
I also finished my cowl that I have been working on here and there...

I'm very happy with both projects I got done this week and I already found some beautiful yarn for my next project... That I will probably work on here and there...(I get bored working on the same thing every night.)

I hope to make a granny ripple crochet blanket with this yarn. I was going to make it with this yarn and then pick up some solid cotton in rainbow colors to match and make it the ultimate rainbow blanket...Oh how I love rainbows so much...I think it puts a smile on everyone's face to see all those beautiful bright colors blended together!!!!
Although I haven't done much reading this week I have been listening to Before Green Gables an audio book from the library. I treasure Anne of Green Gables, I have very fond memories of snuggling on the couch with my mama and watching movies.

What have you been working on this week?? join in the the fun with Ginny over at Small things for some knitting inspiration!! Also check out frontier dreams for more crafting goodies:)

UPDATE at 2:57pm: I ran to the yarn store today picked up some fluffy yarn for around Annabelle's cocoon it really gives it a nice finished look...I'm so please with the way it came out...now we just have to wait for Annabelle to arrive:)
