So I have been wanting to make these unpaper paper towels for quite a while I actually bought the fabric a while ago....so Annabelle and I finally got a chance to start them.
(All that sewing made little Annabelle very tired so she took a break..)
My little helpers adding the snaps on with the press.
I think these will be used alot especially with Jameson graduating from his high chair and sitting at the table with his brother and sister...we seem to be having a few more spills these days.
Here are some quick directions if you are interested in making some of your own...and don't hesitate to ask questions...I know these aren't the most detailed directions:)
First I picked out some cute kitchen themed fabric and some matching terry
cloth for the back side and cut them all out 10"x12". Then I sewed them together with the right sides
facing (although I wish I has a serger for projects like this) and
turned them right side out and top stitched them. I also stitched a big X
across each towel to keep it together nicely. After that I got out my
button stash press left over from diaper fixing/making and added those with my press to each
side so the towels will keep together on the paper towel roll, and that's it
you have yourself some unpaper towels that will last for many years to
come. My next project will have to be a kitchen wet bag for these,
otherwise they would get lost in our laundry pile for sure!! lol

What a great idea - I generally use tea towels, but having some dedicated cloths seems like a great idea.
